Fossil fuel emissions are at an all-time high, and much of those emissions come from the factories that produce iron, steel and cement for Western markets. Now a game-changing law called the Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM) is forcing firms to pay for their supply chain emissions. The problem? CBAM requires a new approach to purchasing and cost forecasting that most businesses struggle to cope with.
We set up CBAMBOO in 2023 to answer that need. Our mission is to decarbonise industry by integrating carbon prices into management decisions for the first time. We have has the leading platform for CBAM management, backed with expert understanding of the topic.
In recent weeks, as the CBAM has gone live, CBAMBOO has seen a surge in demand from some of the world’s most sophisticated companies. Our product must be rebooted to match a rapidly expanding user base, and to embed AI for procurement managers who face a new landscape of carbon prices. As a result we are urgently expanding our team.
We're seeking a full stack engineer to join our small product team. You will work across the stack to build the tools our customers need as CBAM enters its next phase.
Until now, our product has focused on compliance: helping importers collect data and submit reports. But with CBAM now live, the focus is shifting to financial management by helping companies understand, forecast, and optimise their carbon costs. You will work alongside the CEO and Senior Engineer to build the interfaces and AI analytics that make this possible.
This is a hands-on role. You'll ship features end-to-end, learn the domain deeply, and contribute to a product that's becoming mission-critical for some of the world's largest importers.
